If you are looking for secular Easter books for kids that do not reference church or the Bible, we've got two new books that fit the bill! Whether you are searching for Easter read-alouds for the classroom or Easter basket books, these funny spring-themed stories featuring eggs, bunnies, and a funny chick are perfect for the season. [Attack Bunnies](https://hubs.li/Q046Yfm60)
By Laura Gehl, illustrated by Julia Patton
An Easter book for five year olds to eight year olds
Carrot Cake and Pufftail looked like ordinary, cute little bunnies . . . But they were NOT ordinary bunnies. They were whiskered warriors, trained to protect, to defend, and—when needed—to attack.
When Renard Fox moved to the forest and seemed to be making trouble for their woodland friends, Carrot Cake and Pufftail knew exactly what to do. But when their first impression turned out to be wrong, how would they make things right?

[Peg's Egg](https://hubs.li/Q046YdMP0)
By Jo Renfro
An Easter book for preschool and kindergarten age kids
One day, as Peg is running around chasing butterflies, she comes upon an egg! What is it doing out in the field by itself?! It's a big egg, and she wonders what it could be! A turtle? An ostrich? A DRAGON?
Peg takes her role of caretaker very seriously. She keeps the egg warm, protects it from the dog and the rain, sings it songs, and patiently waits for something to hatch. Until she discovers it's not an egg at all. Oh no! Peg is so embarrassed. How could she have made such a ridiculous mistake?
With similarly funny antics to Jo Renfro's [**Peg Gets Crackin**](https://www.beamingbooks.com/store/product/9781506492070/Peg-Gets-Crackin)**'** and [**Peg Gets Plucky**](https://www.beamingbooks.com/store/product/9781506492094/Peg-Gets-Plucky), this new story is perfect for showing how humor and laughter can help overcome embarrassing moments.
