Since 1929, Junior Library Guild has honored the best children's and young adult books by naming them to their list of selections. Over the decades, no one has identified more future award-winners and classics. Generations of librarians and teachers have relied upon Junior Library Guild to help provide their young readers with exceptional books.

Spark Story Bible Psalm Book and For the Beauty of the Earth have been chosen to be included in Junior Library Guild's new faith/religious category in 2017.

In the Spark Story Bible Psalm Book, fifty of the most beloved psalms are rewritten in child-friendly language, accompanied by the beautiful artwork of Peter Grosshauer, illustrator of the award-winning Spark Story Bible. Divided into four sections, the Psalm Book contains prayers of morning and evening, prayers of praise, prayers of comfort, and prayers of creation.

For the Beauty of the Earth combines stunning illustrations with the poetry of the classic hymn, originally written in 1864, which celebrates creation, family, music, and community. The book includes the written music and lyrics so families can sing the song together. Children and adults alike will cherish this picture book--available in March!
